The National Black Book Festival looks to be a weekend packed with authors from across the nation in every genre. Several Hustletown readers expressed interest in the Black Writer’s Reunion and Conference, so we made sure to pass on the word the readers and authors in our audience.

The Festival will hold workshops on finding literary agents, publishing, and marketing and promoting your work in the Literary Breakthrough Conference on Friday May 21. There are a host of other happenings that will make the Festival memorable, such as: a spoken word poetry slam, author signings and discussions, on-site radio broadcasts, and corporate/publisher booths.

The conference and other activities require additional ticket purchase, but admission to the overall festival is $5.00 per day. Children under the age of 12 are free. Check out http://www.nationalblackbookfestival.com/overview.htm for more information!
