As I consider what I’ve done over the last year and relate my thoughts to where I was at this time during the year prior, I’ve got to say that I’m fairly pleased with my progress. So much has changed and improved in terms of my marketing since 2007 when I decided that I was sick and tired of being sick and tired and resolved to step my game up significantly. I haven’t looked back since then and 2009 really was a good year for me.
The last few months have been especially productive as I completely revamped my weblog, and forum along with establishing a fairly decent network. The addition of an online newspaper for black entrepreneurs may prove to be more ambitious than I intended, but I’m going to stick with it and see how things pan out.
How about you? Are you committed fully to your own success and doing the tactical and strategic work that it takes to continue to move things forward or are you wasting time going through the motion? You can Facebook and Twitter all day long and still not do a thing to productively to promote your products and services or result in any tangible monetary benefits in the long or short term.
In 2010, take stock of where you are right now: how many followers do you have on all your networks and how active have you really been in those networks over the past 12 months; how many promotional initiatives have you undertaken whether email marketing, ebook publishing, commenting, providing helpful links or otherwise enhancing and further establishing your expertise? What is the true nature of your web presence and its reach in terms of website grading, inbound links, google search results, and subscribers?
Set a baseline using what you know now to determine how much farther along you want to be at this time next year. Don’t fall victim to Einstein’s definition of insanity by continuing to do what you’ve been doing and expecting the same results. You don’t have to be a genius to know that that just isn’t effective marketing.

Hello and thanks for a informative article. I am still thinking over what you wrote here.
